Details of the Latest PNP-Only Draw

The July 16th draw stands out for its focus on candidates with provincial nominations. These nominations are highly coveted as they significantly boost a candidate's CRS score by 600 points. For this particular draw, candidates required a minimum CRS score of 670, indicating that all invitees had already secured provincial nominations. This PNP-only draw aligns with IRCC’s strategy to meet specific provincial labor market needs by bringing in candidates who have demonstrated a strong intent to settle in particular provinces.

Comparing this draw with recent ones highlights interesting trends. On July 8th, IRCC invited 3,200 candidates in a category-based selection draw focused on French proficiency. Earlier, on July 2nd, another PNP-only draw invited 920 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 739. These variations in the number of ITAs and CRS scores reflect the dynamic adjustments IRCC makes to address immediate and long-term immigration goals.
