What is the Alberta Express entry stream?

Interested individuals in the Alberta Express Entry Stream are required to receive an invitation to apply. Without an invitation, an individual cannot apply for a nomination in this stream. This stream is in alignment with the federal Express Entry immigration system. To be eligible for the stream, a candidate must have an active profile in one of the following three Express Entry programs.
Those who submit an Express Entry profile will be automatically considered for the program. Successful candidates will receive a notification through their Express Entry accounts. The Alberta immigration nominee program (AINP) seeks individuals with strong ties to Alberta who have the potential to contribute to the region's economic development and diversification. The selection criteria is currently undisclosed.
Selection criteria for Alberta tech pathways (known as Express entry stream)
Candidates might apply if they receive either an NOI (Notification of interest) letter or a request to submit an application.
If you are having experience in an in-demand occupation and you are having an immediate family connection in Alberta, then you are eligible for the program.
If you are having a job offer from an Alberta employer in the health care sector and you are licensed to practice in one of the eligible health care professions under the Dedicated Health Care Pathway, then you can apply. Applicants may fall under either Express Entry or Non-Express Entry options. Expedited processing will be applicable.
If you are having a job offer for an eligible tech occupation from an Alberta employer in an eligible tech industry under the Accelerated Tech Pathway, you will need to complete an initial Accelerated Tech Pathway web form as the first step. Expedited processing will be applicable for this too.
If you are having experience needed to help support labour needs in key sectors, including agriculture, construction, and tourism and hospitality, you are also eligible for this program.

Candidates who want to apply for Canadian permanent residency through the Alberta express entry stream should be eligible for the express entry program either in the Federal Skilled worker program, Federal skilled trade program or Canadian Experience class
